As the temperatures begin to soar during these scorching summer months, don’t forget about your annuals! Water your flowers when the soil feels dry 1 to 2 inches below the surface, or if they are drooping. Planters should be watered everyday. Keep in mind that watering is best done in the early morning before the temperatures begin to rise. Late afternoon watering is suitable, however, to prevent the development of disease, be sure to water early enough so leaves have a chance to dry before nightfall.
